About the Event

We are thrilled to be launching a new opportunity for the Jewish Family Services community to come together, celebrate, and raise funds for our critical, life-saving programs and support: the Matzah Ball!

This ticketed event is on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Temple Beth Zion, and will feature a VIP reception (5:30-6:30 PM), food, open bar, live music, dancing, awards and more! Each year, this event will have a theme, prompting guests to dress up to match it.

For our first event, the theme is gold!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this event support?
Funds raised from this event will support the work of Jewish Family Services (JFS). Since 1862, JFS of Western New York has been providing all members of our community with critical health and human services, regardless of religion, ethnicity, cultural background, gender identification, ability, or age. We stay connected to our Jewish roots by approaching clients from a place of cultural understanding and respect. We provide services like trauma systems therapy, refugee resettlement, and counseling for Jewish youth.

What does it cost?
General admission is $75 and gives you entrance to the event, access to open bar, food, and all the fun and entertainment the event has to offer. We also have an opportunity for special friends of the organization to provide extra support with our Mensch level admission. At this $500 level you are considered a sponsor of the event, receive two general admission tickets and two tickets to the pre-event VIP reception from 5:30-6:30 PM.

How do I get tickets?
Visit the ticket page here.

What do I wear?
Think fun cocktail party – no need for black tie (unless you want to – feel free to go all out!). Each year this event will be themed and you are encouraged to dress for it. This year’s theme is gold, so come in your sparkliest dresses and dress shirts – we’re all stars this year!

What can I expect?
To have a ball! We will keep you in the loop with communications leading up to the event about what the night will look like. In general, you can expect to eat some filling hors d’oeuvres and appetizers, drink beer and wine, dance the night away, see some sweet performances, and hear about the work being done at Jewish Family Services of WNY.

Can I volunteer at the event?
You sure can! Please email event coordinator Emily Marciniak Louis at emily@liveinspiredevents.com to express your interest.
