Internship Requirements:
- Resume
- Successful Completion of Sterling Volunteers Background Check, at the cost of $9
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
- Record of Covid-19 vaccination
- Complete Staff Exclusion List Search
- Upload driver’s license, registration, and insurance (if driving clients)
- 3 months commitment for 8-16 hours every week (one full working day preferred)

Care Coordination
Working with a care manager, and the program manager an intern would have a firsthand look at the health home program. An internship with the JFS Health Homes would demonstrate the care management process that takes places with every client. The intern would be able to see the assessment and referral process firsthand with the care manager. Conducting home visits, assessments, and referrals to necessary services for clients. An internship would help the intern to gain knowledge about health conditions and navigation of the complex healthcare system.
RICH (Refugees and Immigrant Center for Healing)
This individual may assist our RICH staff with case work assistance that may include employment services, case files reviews, bus orientation, housing support, new client intake calls, client surveys, helping clients make medical appointments, assembling resources in different languages, and other non-specialized case management needs.
Development
The Development Intern will work alongside the development department with in-kind donation coordination, volunteer coordination, and event support. You will be part of a team that builds relationships in the community, with individuals and other organizations. The development intern will be expected to be in communication with multiple departments within JFS, strong communication skills are encouraged.
Jewish Community Care
The Jewish Community Services Intern will assist meeting the needs of our local Jewish community. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: assisting client with scheduling medical and non-medical appointments, completing client wellness checks via phone or home visit, transporting clients to medical appointments and religious events, transporting food and household items to clients in need, and other various tasks as assigned by supervisor.

The Refugee Services Volunteer will provide support to our Case Managers in the office and in the community, and perform clerical duties as needed. Major responsibilities include: Assisting clients during walk-in hours, Assisting clients with apartment set up & orientation to household management, Conducting client field trips using public transportation, Driving clients to appointments when needed and Assisting with weekly Cultural Orientations.
